Tromborg Mineral Makeup – Creamy Eyeshadow #4

Tromborg Mineral Makeup – Creamy Eyeshadow #4

kobber

Tromborg has an amazing mineral makeup line dressed in a beautiful minimalistic and very exclusive design. The quality of the makeup is of course top notch and is made of 100% pure minerals from nature, which I personally love.

I have recently added a new beautiful reddish / copper-like shimmering color to my collection. It is called Creamy Eye Shadow # 4 and it is super easy to work with. You can tone it off to a more shimmer like light shade with your fingers or apply it in to be more intense in color. I’ve tried it a few times and I am in love with it already.

Bottom image is a very simple application where I dabbed a little on my finger. Remember that with creamy eye shadows, you must either prime before applying and / or “set” it with an eye shadow after application. Otherwise you probably have to refresh just with your finger during the day or evening, as it sets in the eye folds.

YOUNGBLOOD PRESSED MINERAL FOUNDATION / Sundance

YOUNGBLOOD PRESSED MINERAL FOUNDATION / Sundance

Imagine being able to wear a makeup so light and velvet and so smooth with a naturel coverage. It doesn’t even contain chemicals or other ingredients that can be harmfull to your health! These particular qualities are essential for me when I buy makeup. With a great discount, I bought these two luxury products from Youngblood. Pressed Mineral Foundation, Toffee and Sundance Pressed Mineral Radiance Sun powder.

I have loved and used Youngblood for many years. The brand was my first crush when it comes to mineral makeup and my feelings have not changed ever since. Sure, it happens sometimes that I buy other brands of mineral makeup, but Youngbloods foundations are in particular good for me, because of their skin tones that fits my tones really well.

Youngblood Pressed Mineral Foundation is super easy to use and it provides a great coverage. You get soft and smooth skin. The design is super smart and handy.  You have a sponge and a mirror available for a quick fresh-up. I wash and scald the sponge quite often to avoid any contamination.

Mineral Radiance Sundance solar powder is just as easy to carry as the pressed foundation. It doesn’t provide a coverage which is totally fine as it gives an amazing glow. It is divided into four shades, a brown / copper, peach, gold and nude. All to highligte different parts of the face. It’s an amazing product.

I find it very satisfying to inspire women to look their best with a few but good techniques.

Ro, who I’ve worked with a couple of times now, wanted a beautiful photo for professional use.

Before we started, I gave her eyebrows a trim. Plucked and cut them. (Not all eyebrows are suitable for cutting)

image

Next step was the usual face sculpting with foundation, highlighting and contouring.

Lastly I used dark colors and black mascara on her eyes and a reddish lipgloss on her lips.

I styled the hair with my ghd hair straightener. By rotating it I created large curls and volume.

natasjabeforeandafter

My model in this photo, Natasha, was booked for a shoot that is meant for a more serious audience. My job was to create a complete and natural feminine look doing hair and makeup.

natasjabefore

Basic rules before you begin:

  1. Skin should be clean and moisturized and should be smooth and soft.
  2. You can choose to prime your skin with a primer or a bb-cream but this is not necessary in the winter.
  3. Usually, if it is for a photoshoot, a show, a bride or something like that, I choose to use a natural foundation all over before I start my countouring (facial framing / sculpting). Use a good foundation/blending brush or a foundation sponge.
  4. Once the foundation is applied evenly, I begin my highlight and contouring. It is important to do the technique correct to create a natural look. If it is a full coverage look you are going for, then use concealers and foundations. If it is a simple “everyday” look you are going for, you can use powders in various shades to create same effect.

Below is an example of where to contour and highlight based on your facetype and form.

Natasha has a naturally well porportioned face. Her face is quite symmetrical and therefor I only need to focus on bringing out her good features such as her cheekbones.

In the picture below you can see that I have hightligtet a bit of her forehead, under the eyebrows, the bridge of her nose, under the eyes and chin. I have chosen to frame her face by darken each “corner” of her forehead and just below the cheekbone. I blended it all evenly to make it look natural. I fixed the look with transparent powder and a little blush on the cheekbones.

I have marked Natasja’s eyebrows NATURALLY with an angle brush using eyebrow color. Eyebrows are one of the biggest and worst mistakes a lot of people make when they do their own makeup or others makeup. Either they pluck and draw them so the person look chronically frightened or they use too much color or pencil and in the wrong shade. The worst of it all, is tattooing. Stay away from that! And I have not yet seen a proper set of 3D tattoed eyebrows in Denmark to recommend it! (I’ll make a whole video post reagrding that subject!)

On her eyes I have used a natural light/nude eye pencil on the wet line and a dark colored eye shadow on the eyelid and finished with mascara.

The lips are colored with a natural slightly pink lip pencil and lipstick.

I love what I do

Something that I really like working with is makeovers that transform women with easy and simple tricks without major changes like hair cuts or colors etc. With simple steps you are able to create great results.

A technique that I use a lot with makeup is countouring. It’s a technique that helps you frame the face. It highlights and beautifies your facial features using dark and light tones of foundation, concealer and powder.

When it comes to hair and hairstyles I prefer to keep it simple and sexy. Wild hair updo’s sprayed with great amounts of hairspray or well formed spiral princess curls is something that I don’t work with. I have a standard and a style and that is something I will always stick to.

The results always speak for themselves! Watching the client or model’s reaction is something that makes my glad.

I am looking forward to sharing my work, makeovers and photos with you.
